“It reminds me of a line from the play “Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare. “Parting is such sweet sorrow.” Even though we are now saying goodbye to each other, our sorrowful parting is also sweet because it makes us think about the next time we will see each other in Beijing 2022.” (영국의 대 문호 셰익스피어의 로미오와 줄리엣 극 중 한 소절이 생각납니다: “작별은 그렇게 달콤한 슬픔입니다” 비록 우리가 이 자리에서 서로 아쉬운 작별을 고하지만 우리의 가슴 아픈 헤어짐 또한 2022년 베이징에서의 다시 만남을 기약해 주기 때문에 달콤하다고 말씀 드릴 수 있는 것입니다)”

On the occasion of the ‘Olympic Month in PyeongChang2018’, let me give you various kinds of definitions used in the ‘Olympic Movement’ in the spirit of ‘Brevity, Simplicity, and Clarity’: (평창2018 올림픽의 달을 맞이하여, ‘간단단순명료’ 한 취지로 올림픽운동에서 사용되고 있는 다양한 정의전체를 통째로 소개합니다)

*This one was officially proposed to the IOC President at the time of the Joint Meeting of the IOC EB and NOCs held in the ANOC General Assembly meeting in Kuala Lumpur 2002(올림픽 표어 II는 필자가 2002년 콸라룸푸르 개최 ANOC총회 시 IOC집행위원회-NOCs연석회의 석상에서 당시 Jacques Rogge IOC위원장에게 공식 제안하여 받아 들인 바 있었던 것입니다)
