LA2028올림픽 및 패럴림픽 조직위원회 신임 CEO로 미국 육군 장성 출신 Lt. General Reynold Hoover(63세)를 임명하였다고 합니다.

그는 미국 육사(West Point)졸업생으로 사우디아라비아, 쿠웨이트 및 아프가니스탄에서 복구하였지만 민간 변호사(a lawyer in private practice) 및 George W. Bush 대통령 안보이슈관련 고문 직(an advisor to U.S. President George W. Bush on security issues)도 맡았었다고 합니다. 그는 6월10일부터 업무를 시작할 것이라고 합니다.
현재 LA28조직위원회 직원 수는 180명으로 소규모지만 대회 임박하면서 4,000명까지 늘어날 것이라고 합니다.

Hoover는 퇴역 미 육군 중장(a retired U.S. Army Lt. General) 이며 1983년 미국 육사(U.S. Military Academy)를 졸업하고 2018년 12월까지 군복무를 하고 나서 미국 북부사령부 부사령관으로 퇴역하였다고 합니다.
그는 Desert Shield 및 Desert Storm 작전기간동안 사우디아라비아, 쿠웨이트에서 그리고 2009년~2010년에는 아프가니스탄에서 합동 군사 사령부 사령관으로(as the Commanding General of the Joint Sustainment Command) 복무하였다고 합니다

LA2028올림픽 및 패럴림픽은 신축경기장이 전무함으로 지금까지의 대회조직위원회들 보다 훨씬 더 많은 장점을 가지고 있는 것(the advantages of a no-build plan, requiring no new venues to host the Games, a huge advantage over most prior organizers )으로 알려지고 있습니다.
게다가 Wasserman과 전임 CEO인 Kathy Carter는 IOC와 기 계약된 수입금과 스폰서, 라이선스 및 영접 부문 수입금으로도 대회를 충분히 치를 수 있으며 더 많은 상업적 협약이 이루어지고 있다(already-contracted revenues from the International Olympic Committee, sponsors, licensing and hospitality are sufficient to hold the Games now, and that more commercial agreements are on the way )고 주장하여 온 바 있습니다.

하지만 LA2028조직위원회는 아직까지 180명의 직원과 10명정도를 보충하고 하는 소규모 조직(a small group so far, with about 180 staff now and 10 jobs currently listed for hire)이라고 합니다.
조직위원회 규모가 2028년 중반에 4,000명으로 확대될 것이며 2028년 말에는 모두 해산될 것(That team will expand to about 4,000 by the middle of 2028 and then shrink to almost nothing by the end of that year)으로 보인다고 합니다.
