[평창2018테스트이벤트 준비관련 IOC공식입장 및 최근전개양상]

 

 

최근 평창2018 준비관련 IOC 및 FIS가 외신을 상대로 입장을 정리하여 공식적으로 발표한 내용들을 한데 모아 Highlight내용만 발췌하여 공유합니다.

 

1.  Christophe Dubi IOC올림픽수석국장 공식발언(12월10일):

1)  평창2018 첫 테스트 이벤트를 위해 준비될 정선 알파인(Downhill경기) 센터 건설일정이 ‘매우 빠듯하다’(very tight timeline)라고 우려를 표명한 바 있습니다

 

2)  정선경기장 건설진척상황을 예의주시하고(keeping a close eye on the progress at the venue) 있음을 인정하면서 경고하고(Dubi warned here) 있는 상황인 것으로 보도된 바 있습니다

 

<핵심발언 내용>

 

“Jeongseon indeed is under a very tight timeline for the test event.”

 

“It is especially the construction of the gondola which is currently very tight scrutiny.”

 

“They have faced the situation but due to the winter conditions, they were not satisfied with stability of the structure.”

 

“Now it’s a matter of continuing the progress at a very rapid pace in order to make sure it can be delivered on January 20.”

 

“PyeongChang was very reassuring, an agreement has been reached and the work is progressing rapidly.”

 

“Nevertheless January 20 is very close and we have to follow this construction very closely.”

 

 

 

2.  FIS의 공식입장:

 

  

 

1)  FIS정선월드컵 알파인 이벤트(2.6~7)는 스키 리프트 위에 좌석내부 객실형태 설치 물인 곤돌라 설치작업(work on a gondola, the seating compartment on a ski lift)은 처음에는 11월15일 건설마감시한을 맞춘 후 계획대로 열릴 것(will take place after work on a gondola met a construction deadline of November 15)이라고 당초에는 IOC에 통보하였었다고 합니다

 

 

3.  경기조직위관계자들의 입장

 

1)  보도된 바대로라면 조직위원회 관계자들은 현재 경기장 구조안정성에 대해 만족해하지 않고 있는 것으로 알려져 있지만(Organizers are now reportedly unsatisfied with the stability of the structure)

 

2)  Dubi수석국장은 곤돌라의 기술적인 측면에 대한 합의가 이루어진 상태라고 주장하고 있다(Dubi claimed an agreement has been reached over the technical aspects of the gondola)라고 보도 되고 있습니다.

 

3)  오는 2월6일~7일 예정된 FIS알파인 월드컵이 개최되기 위하여서는 구조작업이 공식 눈 통제 검사일(the day of official snow control)인 2016년 1월20까지 준비가 완료되어야(the structure must be ready)하는 것으로 보도되고 있습니다

 

 

4.  전문가들이 지적하는 문제점과 Dubi의 해명

 

1)  한국의 겨울철(winter season)상황이 건설작업이 완수되는 데 어려움을 초래하고 있다(The winter season in South Korea also makes it difficult for construction work to be carried out)고 우려하고 있다고 합니다

 

2)  하지만 Dubi 수석국장은 본인과 IOC는 곤돌라작업이 평창2018의 제반 준비 상황 결집을 보여주는 핵심 이정표 격인 테스트이벤트 시간에 맞춰 완공될 것을 확신한다고 주장하였다(Dubi insisted he and the IOC are confident the gondola will be complete in time for the test events, a key marker for PyeongChang2018’s preparations.)라고 외신은 전하였습니다

 

 

5.  Gunilla Lindberg IOC조정위원장의 입장:

1)  그녀는 테스트 이벤트를 위한 경기장들이 최근 평창경기장 시찰기간 동안 살펴본 바에 의하면 시간 내에 준비 완료될 것임을 전적으로 확신한다(She claimed she was “totally convinced” venues for the test events woul be ready in time during the most recent visit in September.)라고 주장한 것으로 보도 되고 있습니다

 

2)  그녀는 동시에 평창2018 제반 준비에 박차를 가할 것으로 촉구하여오고 있음(Lindberg has also urged them to “speed up” the progress of their preparations.)도 보도되었습니다

 

 

*외신이 전하는 바에 따르면 평창2018 시설건설일정 지연(delays in building the facilities)이슈가 대회시작까지 지속적인 문제로 여겨져 왔으며(a constant problem in the build-up to the Games) IOC조정위원회와 IOC의 핵심우려사안으로 잔존하고 있는 것(remains the key concerns of the Coordination Commission and the IOC)으로 보도되고 있습니다

 

 

6.  Gian-Franco Kasper FIS 회장 입장:

1)  그는 평창2018 동계올림픽 준비상황에 대하여 가장 신랄한 비평적 입장을 견지해 왔었던 인물들 중 한 명(he had been one of the strongest critics of PyeongChang’s preparations to stage the Winter Olympics) 이라고 외신은 평가하고 있습니다

 

2)  그는 금년 초만 해도 지체된 건설진척상황으로 인해 계획된 대로 테스트이벤트를 개최하는 것이 “불가능”할 것이라고 경고하기도 했다(he warned earlier this year how it would be “impossible” to stage test events as planned due to slow progress in construction.)고 보도되고 있습니다

 

3)  이러한 견해는 평창2018에 의해 일축된 바 있지만 (These suggestions were dismissed by PyeongChang 2018), Kapser회장은 9월에 와서는 다시 테스트 이벤트가 정상적으로 개최될 것이라고 주장한 바 있다(however, the Swiss claimed in September they will take place as normal.)고 보도되고 있습니다
