2018년 7월10일 국제 패럴림픽 위원회(IPC: International Paralympic Committee)는 일본 스포츠용품업체인 ASICS가 Tokyo2020 패럴림픽 종료 시까지 IPC공식공급업체(an official supplier)로 지정되었는바 이로 인해 많은 장애인 선수들(Para-athletes)과 개발도상 국가 패럴림픽 위원회(NPCs: National Paralympic Committees)가 혜택을 받을 것이라는 논지를 담은 협약 서를 체결한 것으로 알려졌습니다.
ASICS 는 “Anima Sana In Corpore Sano”의 라틴어 약어로 “건전한 신체에 건강전한 정신이 깃든다” (A sound mind in a sound body)의 뜻입니다.
IPC는 또한 세계 엔터테인먼트 데이터 및 테크놀로지 선도기업으로 주장되고 있는(who claim to be the world’s leading entertainment data and technology company) Gracenote와 그 동안 오랜 기간 협력업체 관계를 Tokyo2020패럴림픽 때까지 연장할 것임을 발표하였다고 합니다.
ASICS 스포츠용품 기업은 IPC 및 독립 패럴림픽 선수 팀들과 공식 이벤트(the IPC and the Independent Paralympic Athletes teams at official events)를 위한 공식스포츠의류 및 신발류를 공급할 것(supply official sportswear and shoes )이라고 합니다.

추가적으로 개발도상국 NPCs들이 혜택을 받게 될 것이라는 행보에서(in a move it is claimed will benefit developing NPCs), ASICS는 Tokyo2020 패럴림픽 겨냥 300명가량의 선수들에게 경기용품 일체(competitions kits)를 공급할 것이라고 합니다

2016sus 9월 이래로 ASICS는 세계장애인 육상(World Para Athletics)공식 공급업체로 지원하여 왔는데 협약체결을 통하여 2020년 말까지 계약을 연장하는 합의를 하였다고 합니다.
ASICS는 Tokyo2020패럴림픽 골드 파트너 이기도 합니다.
앞으로 27개월에 걸쳐 이전에 Infostrada Sports로 알려졌던 Gracenote기업은 지속적으로 IPC가 국제연맹으로 관장하고 있는 10개의 세계 장애인스포츠대회에 출전하는 14,000명 이상의 장애인 선수들(Para-athletes)을 위한 생체정보를 연구하고, 수집하고 갱신하고 저장하고 배포할 것(continue to research, collect, update, store and distribute biographical information for more than 14,000 Para-athletes competing in the 10 World Para Sports for which the IPC acts as the International Federation)이라고 합니다

협상의 일환으로(as part of the deal) Gracenote 스포츠 편집자들은 생체물리학 정보수집 및 최신화를 위하여(to collect and update biographical information) 주요 세계 장애인 스포츠 이벤트 등에 참석할 것이라고 합니다.
이런 움직임은 2019년 육상 및 수영 장애인세계선수권대회뿐만 아니라 2018년 8월 개최 유럽육상 및 수영 장애인선수권대회 등을 포함할 것이라고 합니다.
