1.Bach IOC위원장 평양 방문성과 요약

 

IOC가 발표한 Bach IOC위원장의 평양방문 뉴스 발표내용에 따르면 Bach IOC위원장은 3월

29일~31일 평창에서 북한정치 및 스포츠 지도자들과 회합을 가졌으며 김정은 북한 지도자와

의 면담 결과(following an extensive “four-eyes” meeting with Kim Jong-un), 북한은

Buenosaires2018 하계 청소년올림픽과 Lausanne 2020동계 청소년올림픽은 물론

Tokyo2020하계올림픽 및 Beijing2022 동계올림픽대회 모두에 자국선수들을 파견할 것임을

약속한 것으로 확인되었다(confirmed that the country is committed to its athletes

2.Bach IOC위원장 평양 고위 당국자 회동 결과 요약

 

 

김정은 최고지도자(Supreme Leader)는 북한NOC선수단이 평창2018 대회에 참가합의 중재를 이끌어 냈던 역할 수행에 대하여Bach IOC위원장과 IOC에 대하여서도 치하하였다고 보도자료는 밝히고 있습니다. (The Supreme Leader also praised President Bach and the IOC for the role they had played in mediating and bringing about an agreement for the participation of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) in the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018.)

 

 

 

 

북한 NOC위원장의 초청에 의해 이루어진 바 있는 Bach IOC위원장의 평양방문 기간 중 Bach IOC위원장은 북한 NOC선수들의 평창2018 동계올림픽 참가에 대하여 고마움을 표명하였다고 합니다(expressed his appreciation for the participation of the DPRK NOC athletes at the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018)

 

 

다음은 Bach IOC위원장의 발언 내용입니다:

 

 

A.“In particular, the joint march sent a strong message of peace.” (특히, 공동행진은 평화의 강력한 메시지를 <전 세계에> 보냈음)

 

B.“Now, on the political level, the discussions can continue in the Olympic spirit of understanding and peace.” (이제 정치적 수준에서 논의된 내용들이 이해와 평화라는 올림픽 정신에 입각하여 지속적으로 이어질 수 있는 것임)

 

C.“We will continue to accompany this political dialogue through sport, by helping athletes to prepare for and compete in future editions of the Olympic Games”  (우리는 선수들이 향후 여러 올림픽대회를 준비하고 출전할 수 있도록 지원함으로써 이러한 스포츠를 통한 정치적 대화를 지속적으로 동반할 것임)

 

 

3.Bach IOC위원장 북한 고위정치 당국자면담과 스포츠 지원대책 요약

 

 

이러한 지원은 이미 시작되었는데(this support has already begun), 북한 선수들의 당장 4월 스웨덴 개최 세계탁구선수권대회 출전에 따른 즉각적인 지원(with immediate assistance)이 함께 이루어 지고 있는 것으로 발표되었습니다,

3월30일 오전 Bach IOC위원장은 김일국(Kim Il-guk) 체육상 겸 NOC위원장을 위시한 북한(DPRK) NOC 대표들과 회합을 가졌으며, 패키지 안건에서(in a packaged agenda) 선수들 및 스포츠관련 지원문제에 대하여 2명의 북한노동당 부위원장 (Vice Chairmen of the Workers’ Party)과 논의를 하였던(discussed the IOC’s support for the athletes and sport in the country) 것으로 알려지고 있습니다.

 

이들 두 명의 북한 노동당 부위원장이란 북한 국가 체육지도위원회위원장(Chairman of the National Sports Guidance Committee) 직도 겸하고 있는 최휘(Choi Hwi)와 북한 국무부 부위원장(Vice Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK)직을 겸직하고 있는 최룡해(Choe Ryong-hae)라고 밝히고 있습니다

 

 

4.Bach IOC위원장의 평양 행보 스케치

 

Bach IOC위원장의 평양방문은 3월30일 북한 대표단 단장자격으로 평창2018 동계올림픽 개회식에 참석하였던 북한 최고인민회의 주석 단 김영남 위원장이 주최한 만찬으로 공식일정을 마감하였다(The visit finished with a dinner hosted by the President of the Praesidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly, Kim Yong-nam)고 합니다

북한선수들의 향후 올림픽대회 참가지원 논의 뿐만 아니라 Bach IOC위원장은 인상적인 도심 콤플렉스에 위치한 여러 스포츠 시설도 방문하였는데(visited several sporting facilities in an impressive city-centre complex) 그곳에서 여러 종목 선수들, 미래 올림피언들 및 수영, 역도, 탁구 종목 올림픽대회 출전 미래 잠재적 출전선수들(future potential competitors)과도 만남을 가졌다고 합니다.

 

그곳에서 Bach IOC위원장은 평창2018 대회 피겨 페어종목에 출전한 바 있는 렴태옥(Ryom Tae-ok)및 김주식(Kim Ju-sik)선수도 만났다고 합니다.

 

Bach IOC위원장 평양방문 내내 장웅 북한 IOC위원이 줄 곳 함께 동행한 것(accompanied throughout the visit by the IOC Member from North Korea, Professor Ung Chang)으로 알려졌습니다.

 

 

5.Bach IOC위원장의 김정은 북한 최고지도자 면담 스케치

 

Bach IOC위원장은 김정은 지도자와 30분 공식면담(a formal 30 minute meeting)에 이어

두 지도자는 평양 능라도 5.1 경기장(May Day Stadium)에서 함께 축구경기를 관전하면서 스

스럼 없는 대화도 이어 갔다(the duo also informally spoke while watching a football

match at May Day Stadium in capital city Pyongyang )고 합니다.

 

 

Bach IOC위원장은 추후 AFP(Agence France-Presse)와의 인터뷰에서 “평양당국은 북한

이 Tokyo2020 및 Beijing2022에 모두 확실히 참가할 것이라고 발표하였다”(They

announced to us that they will definitely participate in the Olympic Games Tokyo

2020 as well at the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022)라고 언급하였다고 합니다. 

 

 

김정은 지도자는 Bach IOC위원장에게 평창2018에 북한이 참가가 확고히 되도록 ‘일부러 먼

걸음을 해준데’ 대하여 감사한 것으로 보도(reportedly thanked Bach for "walking the

extra mile" to ensure their participation at Pyeongchang 2018)되었습니다.

 

 

 

Reuters통신에 따르면 Bach IOC위원장은 IOC가 Tokyo2020, 더 나아가 Beijing2022대회

를 위하여 (남북선수단의) 잠재적 공동행진과 기타 잠재적 공동행동을 지향하는 제안을 적절

한 시기에 하게 될 것(IOC would "make a proposal for a potential joint march or

potential other joint activities for Tokyo and then maybe also for Beijing at the

appropriate time")이라고 언급하였다고 합니다.
