홍콩의 Go Park Sha가 The World Games Series의 첫 대회를 주최할 것will host the inaugural edition of The World Games Series)이라고 하는데 34개국 선수들이 10월13일(일)부터 경기에 출전하고 있습니다. 이 시리즈는 2025년 8월7일~17일 중국 Chengdu개최 IWGA 월드 게임 출전자격부여 대회라고 합니다.
Samaranch 재단 후원과 함께 국제월드게임협회(IWGA: The World Games Association)가 시작한 대회인데 홍콩 대회(Hong Kong edition)는 국제 치어 연합(ICU: International Cheer Union), 세계 스케이트(World Skate)) 및 국제우슈연맹(IWF: the International Wushu Federation)등 3개 국제연맹을 대표하는 남자선수 33명과 여자 선수 54명이 참가하는데 이 선수들은 치어 리딩의 Pom Doubles와 롤러 인라인 프리스타일(Roller Inline Freestyle)의 Classic Slalom과 Freestyle Slalom)그리고 Wushu의 Taolu세부종목에 출전하고 있다고 합니다.

2025년 중국 Chengdu 월드 게임에는 35개 의 다양한 종목에 61개 세부종목경기가 펼쳐질 것이며 홍콩 시리즈에서는 출전자격을 획득할 추가 기회가 주어지는데 Chengdu대회 11개 출전자격권을 수월하게 차지할 있고(Eleven (11) qualifying spots for Chengdu will be up for grabs)다음과 같은 종목이 포함된다고 합니다:

1)치어 리딩(Cheerleading) Pom, Doubles: 1개조(1 pair)
2)롤러(Roller), Inline Freestyle 및 Classic Slalom: 남자 1명(1 male) 및 여자 1명(1 female)

4)우슈(Wushu), Taolu: 남자 3명(3 men) 및 여자 3명(3 women)

4년 마다 개최되는 종합 대회(quadrennial multi-sport event)일 The World Games(TWG)은 더욱 포괄적인 대회(a more comprehensive edition)로 거듭나고 있으며 2025년 Chengdu 개최 제12회 월드 게임(8월7일~17일)에는 100개국 이상 참가국들로부터 5,000명 가량의 선수들이 참가할 것으로 예상되고(around 5,000 participants from more than 100 countries are expected to take part in this 12th edition) 있다고 합니다.
