[Toyota자동차 IOC본부에 친환경 New Fleet of Hybrid 차량쾌척 (快擲)]

 

 

12월20일Toyota자동차 측이 2016년 대미를 장식하는 취지로 새로운 신형 Hybrid자동차들을(a new fleet of hybrid cars) IOC본부에 전달하였다고 IOC는 홈페이지에 이 소식을 알렸습니다.

 

이러한 조치는 Toyota자동차가 IOC와 TOP 글로벌 파트너로써의 계약이 시작되는 2017년을 2주 앞둔 시점에서 이루어졌습니다.

Thomas Bach IOC위원장은 로잔느 IOC본부에서Toyota자동차 스위스지점장(chief executive)인 Philippe Rhomberg로부터 차량을 인수 받았다고 합니다.

 

전달된 차량은 Toyota가 개발하여 사용된 최신 hybrid기술이 접목된 자동차들인데 가솔린 엔진(gasoline engines)과 전기모터(electric motors)의 특징적 혜택을 결합시킨 회심작이라고 합니다.

 

IOC는 2015년 3월부로 Toyota와 글로벌 파트너 계약을 발표하였으며 이는 Olympic Agenda 2020에 걸 맞는 올림픽운동에 있어서 혁신적이며 지속 가능한 해결방안 마련하기 위한 일환으로 체결된 것으로 알려져 있습니다.

 

2017년부터 Toyota는 지속가능 기동성 해결책 마련을 이루기 위하여 (in a bid to deliver sustainable mobility solutions) IOC 및 전 세계206개 NOCS들과 협업을 시작할 것이라고 합니다

"This is another step in this exciting partnership, and I am particularly delighted about the new hybrid cars, which is another clear demonstration of the IOC’s commitment towards sustainability." (Toyota와의 파트너 계약으로 말미암은 신형 하이브리드 차량 쾌척은 IOC의 지속가능 성에 대한 떠 다른 공약 실천 입증 사례임)

 

"I would like to thank [Toyota President] Mr Akio Toyoda for his great personal commitment and Mr Rhomberg and his team here in Switzerland, as well as the fleet team in Toyota Motor Europe based in Brussels, for their support in implementing this programme." Toyota 측은 기금조성과 글로벌 홍보 활동을 통하여(through funding and a global promotional reach) 전 세계 올림픽 운동 가족들에게 기동성 범주(mobility category)분야에 지원할 것으로 전망되며 차량지원과 기동성 서비스(mobility services)및 기동성 해결방안(mobility solutions) 마련 등에 기여할 것으로 알려졌습니다

 

추가적으로 Toyota는 올림픽대회를 위한 지속가능 기동 성 해법제공을 목표로 인공지능 수송시스템(intelligent transport systems), 도시 교통 원할 시스템(urban traffic systems) 및 차량간 소통 시스템(vehicle-to-vehicle communications systems) 등을 포함하여 배기가스 감소(low-emission), 안전성 확대(safer), 고효율 기동 성(more efficient mobility) 확보에 기여할 것으로 알려졌습니다.

 

IOC의 관리체계의 일환으로(under the IOC’s management), IOC는 TOP프로그램을 통하여 NOCs와 올림픽조직위원회들(OCOGs)을 지원하도록 되어 있는데 올림픽 및 올림픽운동이 진정한 글로벌 행사가 될 수 있도록 확고히 하기 위한 사명완수를 목표로 지원을 다하고 있다(helping towards the mission of ensuring that the Olympic Games and the Olympic Movement are truly global) 고 IOC홈페이지는 밝히고 있습니다.

 

IOC는 전 세계 모든 레벨에서(at all levels around the world) 선수들과 스포츠 단체들에 대한 도움을 주기 위하여 일일 US$325만불(약 37억원)에 상당하는(everyday the equivalent of US$325million goes to help athletes ans sports organizations)) 지원을 계속하고 있는데 이는 스포츠 운동 전반에 IOC가 취득한 수입금의 90%이상을 재분배하고 있는 것(the IOC redistributes more than 90% of its income)이라고 밝히고 있습니다.

 

2015년12월 Akio Toyoda Toyota회장은 일본 개최 올림픽에서 사업분야에서의 이익창출에 더 매진하기 위하여(to prioritize generating business interest in the Japanese Games) Tokyo2020조직위원회 부위원장 직을 사임한 바 있습니다
