[GAISF해체 당사자 회장인 Ferriani 올림픽동계종목국제연맹 연합회(AIOWF)회장 단독 출마로 재선되다]
Ivo Ferriani(62세) 현 올림픽동계종목국제연맹 연합회(AIOWF: Association of International Olympic Winter Federation)현 회장이 단독 출마로 12월4일 재선(re-elected unopposed)이 확인되었습니다.

AIOWF회장 선거는 11월30일 Lausanne에서 거행되었지만 선거결과세부내용을 뒤늦게 알려지게 되었다고 합니다
Ferriani 회장은 2020년 당시 전임 회장인 Gian Franco Kasper FIS회장이 4년 임기 중 2년만 수행하고 FIS회장직에서 은퇴하면서 Kasper회장이 맡고 있던 AIOWF회장 직(잔여임기 2년)을 온라인총회를 통해 처음 당선된 바 있습니다.
AIOWF이사(Council members)로는 Ferriani회장 외에 한국의 김재열 ISU회장, Einars Fogelis(FIL: International Luge Federation)회장, Beau Welling(World Curling Federation)회장, Olle Dahlin(International Biathlon Union)회장 및 Luc Tardif (IIHF: International Ice Hockey Federation)회장 등 6명으로 구성되었습니다.
국제스키연맹(FIS)회장인 Johan Eliasch의 경우 FIS가 AIWOF에 이사지명요청을 하지 않았는데 AIOWF총회장에서 이사로 호명(the floor presented the body's President Johan Eliasch as a member)하였다고 합니다
FIS는 이러한 이사지명수락여부를 고려할 것이라고 합니다
지난 5월 Geneva회의에서 거행된 AIOWF회장선거 당시 Ferriani가 우세(prevailed)하였지만 Eliasch FIS회장은 선거과정이 유효하지 않다고 논박(argued that it was invalid)하였다고 합니다.
Eliasch는 당시 선거투표개시직전 후보를 철회(withdrew his name)하였지만 정식 의전과 절차가 제대로 이행되지 않았으며 따라서 선거 자체가 거행되지 않았어야 한다(formal protocol and procedures were not followed and, therefore, the election should not have been held)고 주장한 바 있다고 합니다.
관계자들은 선거결과나 최근 열린 총회 의제에 대하여서도 공개적으로 오픈하지 않았던 것(Officials were secretive over revealing any outcome of the election or the latest General Assembly's agenda)으로 알려 진 바 있습니다.
GAISF(global Association of International Sports Federations)총회는 AIOWF회의 전날 거행되었으며 GAISF조직해체 역시 Ferriani회장 주도로 결행된 바 있습니다.
GAISF총회 결정 후, GAISF해체진행방식에 투명성이 결여 되었다고 혹평을 받기도(castigated for a lack of transparency over the way in which the disbanding was handled) 하였다고 합니다.
2016년 국제연맹(IBSF)회장자격으로 IOC위원으로 선출되었으며 그는 Beijing2022 동계올림픽 IOC조정위원, IOC지속가능성 및 유산분과위원(IOC Sustainability and Legacy Commission), 여성과 스포츠 분과위원(IOC Women in Sport Commission member) 및 IOC선수동반자분과위원(IOC Entourage Commission member)으로 활동하여 왔습니다.
그는 2018년부터 IBSF(International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation)회장으로 AIOWF대표 당연 직 IOC집행위원으로 재직중입니다.
