2022 동계올림픽유치 상황 "Unstable"

[2022년 동계올림픽 유치 경쟁 불안정 상태(Unstable 2022 Olympic Bid Race)]

 

2015년 7월 콸라룸푸르 IOC총회에서 결정될 2022년 동계올림픽 유치 경쟁이 불안정한 국면에 돌입한 정황이 포착되고 있다.

1) KSL News부 편집장(Vice Writer)인 Alice Speri는 'The world seems to have finally realized that hosting the Olympics "totally sucks".'라고 언급하였다.  

 

2) 국제 체육기자연맹(AIPS)회장인 Gianni Merlo는 "Why Olympic bids for the 2022 Olympic Winter Games are "dropping like flies"인가에 대하여 논의 중이라고 한다.

 

3) The Wall Street Journal지의 Matthew Futterman은 "Does Anyone Want to Host the 2022 Winter Games?"라고 묻는다

 

4) A. V, Club의 Todd VanDerWerff는 푸틴이 전례를 남긴 소치2014의 천문학적 개최비용(약 52조원)에 혼비백산한 나머지 국가 GNP를 쏟아 부어부어야 하는 부담감으로 2022년 동계올림픽 개최를 원하고 있지 않는 것으로 보인다고 말한다

 " when Russian president Vladimir Putin spent $51 billion on the 2014 Winter Games, "it didn’t just show off how much money Putin could spend on things; it established a precedent that other nations are now apparently terrified of tanking their GNPs to live up to." This, VanDerWerff points out, could be why no one seems to want to host the 2022 Winter Olympics.

Dalmia에 따르면 올림픽은 단순히 정치인들에게 낭비와 사기와 남용거리를 줄뿐이라고 한다.(According to Dalmia, the Olympics merely give politicians "lots of opportunities for waste, fraud and abuse." )

 

7) Business Insider지의 Tony Manfred는 모든 사람이 올림픽을 개최한다는 것 자체가 총체적 낭비이기 때문에 2022년 동계올림픽 유치경쟁은 "재앙"이라고 주장하고 있다.( the bid race for the 2022 Games is a "disaster" simply because "everyone figured out that hosting the Olympics is a total waste.")
