싱가포르에서 김정은-Trump양국 최근의 정상회담 후 남북한이 아시안게임의 중심점이 될 것 같다(likely to be a focal point of the Games following the recent summit between Kim and United States President Donald Trump in Singapore)라는 보도입니다
싱가포르 정상회담 동안, 김정은 지도자는 비핵화와 남측 이웃들과의 긴밀한 연대를 위하여 업무를 추진할 것임을 약속하였다(promised to work towards denuclearisation and closer links with their neighbours in the South)고 합니다.

인도네시아 대표단은 명목상 국가수반 겸 최고인민회의의장(the nominal head of state and President of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly)인 김영남과 회담을 가졌다고 합니다.

다음은 인도네시아 국립경찰청에서 발행한 보도자료(in a release issued by the National Police)에서 Puan Maharani 장관이 언급한 내용을 보도한Reuters통신 보도내용입니다:
A. "The main reason for us coming [to Pyongyang] is to convey an official invitation to the President of North Korea to attend the Asian Games Opening Ceremony on August 18." (평양방문 이유는 북한지도자에게 8월18일 아시안게임 개회식 참석 공식초청장을 전달하는 것임)
그 전주에는 Puan Maharani 장관이 서울을 방문하여 아시안게임개회식에 문재인대통령을 초청하였다고 합니다
김의겸 청와대 대변인은 Reuters와의 인터뷰에서 “문대통령이 향후 스케줄을 고려한 상황을 미루어 볼 때 참석을 고려할 것”(will consider attending, with circumstances such as future schedule in mind)이라고 언급하였다고 합니다.

남북한 양국은 자카르타-팔렘방 공동개최(co-hosting) 아시안게임에서 지금까지 5명출전 여자농구(five-a-side women's basketball), 남녀 용선 종목(men's and women's dragon boat), 남녀 조정경기(men's and women's rowing)에 팀을 출전시키기로 합의하였다(so far agreed to field teams)고 보도하고 있습니다.
