안녕하십니까?
어수선하고 어려운 나라 분위기이지만 평창2018이 있어서 국민에게 꿈과 희망의 메시지를 전달 할 수 있도록 함께 지속적으로 합심하여 성공개최에 한 톨의 밀알이 되었으면 하는 바램입니다.
[Bach IOC위원장의 긍정적 목적지향 2017년 새해 메시지 요약정리 및 객관적 분석평가]

Bach IOC위원장은 2016년을 결산하면서 스포츠파워가 “점점 취약일로로 치 닿는 세상에서 모든 사람들을 결속시켜주고 있음”(sport power to unite all people in an increasingly fragile world)을 주장하였습니다
또한 Rio2016올림픽의 성공적 개최를 주장하였는데 “경이로운 도시에서의 경이로운 올림픽대회”(the marvelous Games in the marvelous city)로 기억될 것이라고 치켜세웠습니다.
이러한 성공은 전 세게206개국 선수들 모두가 참가하였을 뿐만 아니라 전 세계에 걸쳐 수 백만 명에 달하는 난민들에게 “강력한 희망의 신호탄을 보낸”(sent a strong signal of hope)바 있는 새로운 개념의 올림픽 난민 팀(a new Refugee Team)선수들까지 참가함으로 이룩된 것임을 강조하였습니다.
동 메시지는 IOC웹사이트에 게시된 1,500단어 메시지 안에 들어 있으며 동 메시지 내용 안에는 러시아 도핑 문제들과 스포츠 지배구조의 도전과제(sporting governance challenges)에 대하여서도 다루었습니다.
동 메시지에는 전 세계에 걸쳐 자행된 테러공격과 갈등으로 점철된 한 해(a year dominated by terrorist attacks and conflict across the world )를 마무리하는 내용이 포함되어 있습니다
"This unique power of sport to unite all of humanity is one of the most important things that the Olympic Games can give us in our troubled times." (전 인류를 결속시키는 스포츠의 독특한 파워는 올림픽이 어려운 시대에 우리에게 선사할 수 있는 가장 중요한 것들 중의 하나임)
"In a world where mistrust and uncertainty are on the rise, sport is a source of joy and inspiration for so many people, giving us hope that our shared humanity is stronger than the forces that want to divide us. 하지만 이 같은 그의 Rio2016칭송코멘트는 대회 전 및 대회기간 동안 브라질 조직위원회 관계자들에 의해 직면되었던 광범위한 문제점들을 상기해 볼 때 눈살을 찌푸리게 할 것(his comments will raise eyebrows )으로 평가 받을 것이라고 합니다
수송교통 및 새로운 시설 면에서의 몇 가지 유산 혜택에도 불구하고, Dilma Rousseff 브라질대통령이 그 직에서 탄핵을 받았던 그 해에 개최국 전반에 걸쳐 빈곤과 부패로 심하게 손상된 문제점들에 대해 Rio2016올림픽은 궁극적으로 손을 쓴 것이 별로 없었다(the Olympics ultimately did little to address the crippling problems )는 것이 주지의 결과입니다.

Bach IOC 위원장은 새롭게 출범한 올림픽채널개설과 자신이 순수 창출해 낸 Olympic Agenda 2020 개혁 플랜을 완수함에 명백한 진전(apparent progress)이 이루어져 가고 있는 것 역시 환영하는(hailed the arrival of the new Olympic Channel) 분위기였습니다.
그는 향후 올림픽유치과정에 대한 개혁행보를 폭 넓게 설명하기 전에, Olympic Agenda 2020개혁권고내용이 없었다면 “2024년 올림픽 유치희망 후보도시들이 전무하였을 것”(no Candidate Cites at all for the Olympic Games 2024)이라고 주장하였다고 합니다.
계속되는 Bach IOC위원장의 발언내용입니다:
