Tokyo2020조직위원회에서, 일본인들의 우선적 주요사명은 Tokyo1964올림픽의 강렬한 전통유산 위에, 또한 일본사람들의 조직과 존경심, 환대(omotenashi), 세계적으로 알려진 혁신 및 어마어마하게 과감한 창의력에 대한 관습적 감지력 등과 같이 오늘날 일본이 내 놓을 수 있는 최고의 것 위에 언제나 우리도시 도쿄와 일본과 올림픽 및 패럴림픽 운동을 지향하는 진정한 유산을 창출해 내고자 하는 것이라고 선포한 바 있습니다.

 

 

메시지 내용을 통하여 Tokyo2020 CEO는   IOC, 파트너 기업들, 도쿄도 정부 및 모든 다른 이해당사자들과 모두 협력하여 오늘날  Tokyo2020대회를 기점으로, 스타디움 전광판 및 스마트 폰 화면에 정지 동작 및 다각 다중 디스플레이 기술의 허용, 일본어와 다른 외국어들과의 자동번역 가능의 메가 폰 등의 활용 등 Tokyo2020대회가 특징지을 수 있는 혁신요소들의 몇 가지 사례들을 포함하여, 5 G 모바일 네트워크 수소연료 발진 및 연료전지 충전 자동차, 3D 비주얼 기술력 등 새로운 시대의 혁명적 혁신을 이룩함을 세계만방에 보여 주고자 견인차 역할을 다 하고 있는 과정에 있다고 알리고 있습니다.

 

 

 Tokyo2020의  비전은 무엇보다도 버려지고 폐기 처분된 전자제품 부품 들로부터 수거된 재활용 금속 재 사용운동에 초대된 모든 일본국민들과 함께 올림픽 및 패럴림픽 메달들과 같은 대회의 핵심특징들 몇 가지 요소들에 대해 우리로 하여금 다시 금 생각하게끔 리드 해 주었다고 추진현안에 대해 언급하고 있습니다.

1)   While today marks the three years to go before the Games in Tokyo, we here, in Japan, are also in the middle of Natsu Matsuri - summer festivals where we get together to honor our ancestors and celebrate life. 2)   The moment seems perfect to reflect upon the journey we, at the Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee, are on, what we have achieved so far, and what we aspire to show to the world in a three-year time. 5)   Today, as we enter the final years of preparations, we are more than ever confident about the success of our endeavor, and have never been more thrilled about the idea of hosting the world and the world’s most prestigious sport event in Tokyo. 6)   Tokyo 2020 will be the first Summer Games where the Olympic Agenda 2020 recommendations will come into full force. (Tokyo2020은 올림픽 어젠더 2020권고내용들이 완전히 녹아 들어 개최되는 첫 번 째 올림픽이 될 것임)

 

 

7)   In fact, the three core concepts of our Bid – delivery, celebration and innovation – were a perfect launching pad to implement what the IOC’s new strategic thinking stands for. (사실 상 대회개최이행, 축하 및 혁신이란 도쿄유치의 세 가지 핵심 컨셉들은 IOC의 새로운 전략적 사고방식이 대표하는 것들을 실행하는 완벽한 발사대가 되었음)

 

 

8)   Since our victory in 2013 we have been working hard to ensure that the Tokyo 2020 Games become more innovative, more equal, more sustainable and more appealing to the youth than any previous Games. 10) At the 1964 Games, the Shinkansen bullet train that connected Tokyo and Osaka was introduced, demonstrating at that time Japan’s industrial and technological leadership. (1964년 올림픽에서 Tokyo와 Osaka를 연결해 주었던 신칸센 초고속열차가 도입됨으로 그 당시 일본의 산업적이고 기술적인 선도력을 과시한 바 있었음)

 

 

11) Today, in cooperation with the International Olympic Committee, our corporate partners, Tokyo Metropolitan Government and all other stakeholders, we are leading to showcase to the world at Tokyo 2020 a hoist of revolutionary innovations of a new era: a 5G mobile network, hydrogen powered and fuel-cell vehicles, 3D visual technology allowing stop motion and multi-angle display on the stadium video boards and smart phones, and a megaphone capable of automatically translating Japanese into different languages, being just a few examples of what Tokyo 2020 Games could feature. 12) But – we do not consider innovation as a goal in itself, but as a means to make the Games truly sustainable and inclusive, which has been at the top of our agenda since the start. 13) This vision led us, among other things, to rethink some of the key features of the Games, such as the Olympic and Paralympic medals that will be made from the recycled metal collected from discarded and obsolete electronic devices, with every Japanese citizen invited to participate. 15) It includes initiatives for green technology, transport and sport, especially for the younger generation, as part of meeting the city's long-term development needs for new homes, offices, transport and green space. 16) Through tight collaboration with the International Olympic Committee, the International Paralympic Committee, International Federations and a variety of stakeholders in Japan, we are dedicating our best efforts to reduce the Games budget, putting the financial sustainability and responsibility at the heart of our work. 17) Probably most importantly, we are aspiring that the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games truly resonate with those who will shape the world’s future in the years after the event is finished. 18) With new urban sports on the programme of the Games and the striving young culture of the Japanese capital, we hope to be able to connect the next generations with the Games – and for the Games to connect them to the world. 19) Also, Tokyo 2020 will have more women athletes than ever before. (또한 Tokyo2020대회는 그 전 어느 대회보다도 더 많은 수의 여성 선수들이 참여하는 대회가 될 것임)

 

 

20) We will have a significant step towards achieving the 50 per cent gender balance at the Olympic Games in both athletes and events, as clearly stated by Olympic Agenda 2020. (우리는 올림픽 어젠더 2020에 명백하게 명시된 바 대로 올림픽대회에서 선수와 종목 공히 50% 양성균형성취에 중차대한 전진을 이룩할 것임)

 

 

21) I am convinced that Tokyo 2020 is already helping transform the Japanese society and is changing the way we, the Tokyoites and the Japanese, look at ourselves. (나는 확신하건대 Tokyo2020대회가 이미 일본사회를 변모시키는데 일조하고 있으며, 우리 도쿄시민들과 일본인들 모두가 우리 스스로를 바라보는 방법 또한 변화시키고 있다는 신념임)

 

 

22) We take special pride in ensuring that the Tokyo 2020 Games are enjoyed in the areas of Japan that were affected by the 2011 disaster and contribute to the recovery of these areas.
