Montreux개최 IOC 10월 집행위원회

10월22일~24일(3일 간) 금년 3/4분기 IOC집행위원회(15명) 회의가 스위스 휴양도시인 Montreux에서 난상토론(brainstorming)방식으로 개최되고 있다.

 

 

 

 

 

금번 회의의 어젠다는 물론 토의 순서 등 일체 내용이 비밀에 붙여져 장막이 가려져 있기(the agenda and running order for the meeting have been shrouded in secrecy) 때문에 사전에 정확하게 어떤 안건들이 논의 되는지 알 수 가 없다고 한다.

 

 

지금까지 오는 12월8일~9일 모나코 몬테타롤로 개최 예정인 IOC임시총회에서 토의되어 승인될 예정인 올림픽 어젠다2020(Olymoic Agenda 2020)항목에 대한 14개 IOC실무그룹 분과위원회가 그 동안 작성한 내용에 대해 검토작업을 마무리하는 회의 정도로만 알려져 있다고 한다.

 

 

IOC에서도 회의 내용에 대해 일체 함구하고 있다고 한다.

 

 

FIFA집행위원회 회의의 경우 Sepp Blatter회장이 주재하는데 회의 개최 수일 전에 집행위원회 세부 안건을 발표한 바 있는 것과 비교된다(By way of comparison, FIFA publishes a detailed agenda for all its executive committee meetings days before Seep Blatter meets with his colleagues.)고 한 외신은 전하고 있다.

 

 

지난 달 Bach IOC위원장의 언급에 따르면 Montreux summit은 올림픽 어젠더2020을 토의하기에 최적의 조건을 제공해 준다(the best conditions for the IOC's ruling body to debate Olympic Agenda2020)고 한 바 있다.

 

 

유추해 볼 때 금주 IOC집행위원회에서 토의될 안건에 대하여서는 

 

 

1)올림픽 유치 진행절차 개정(revamping the Olympic bidding procedure)을 통해 투표 당사자들인 IOC위원들이 해당 올림픽 유치도시에 직접 방문 허용 규정 복원문제,

2)올림픽 정식종목 변화(changes to the sports program),

3)올림픽 개최 경비문제(the costs of staging the Games),

4)바람직한 지배관리방안(best-practice governance),

5)제안된 올림픽 TV채널 개설문제(a proposed Olympic TV channel),

6)IOC윤리 이슈들(ethics issues) 및

7)IOC위원 직 선출 구조문제(the structure of the IOC membership) 등으로 예상되고 있다.
