프랑스의 선데이 저널(Le Journal du Dimanche)이 7월3일자 Clement Marna가 서명한 기사에서(in an article signed by Clement Marna) Paris2024올림픽이 프랑스국회해산과 조기국회의원선거와 맞물려 개최가 연기될 수 있다(Olympic Games could be postponed because of the political situation linked to the dissolution of the National Assembly and the early legislative elections)라고 보도하였다고 합니다.
Paris 2024올림픽 및 패럴림픽 조직위원회는 성명서를 통해 “파리올림픽개최취소와 관하여 회자되고 있는 그릇된 정보를 인지하고 있다”(aware of the false information circulating about the cancellation of the Paris Games". Paris 2024 is currently investigating the origin of this false information and asks that it not be circulated)고 하면서 Paris2024는 “현재 이러한 잘못된 정보의 출처를 조사하고 있으며 더 이상 배포되지 않도록 요청하고 있다”(currently investigating the origin of this false information and asks that it not be circulated)고 전하였습니다.
7월4일자 판에서 Le Point지는 "수주간 Paris2024올림픽개최에 있어서 드리워진 장애물에 대하여 기사를 발간하였다"(published an article on the obstacles that have been standing in the way of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games for several weeks)고 합니다
Le Point지의 Nicolas Baverez는 자신의 칼럼에서 “Bach IOC위원장이 프랑스국회해산소식을 듣고 놀랐으며 Macron대통령의 야당이 승리할 경우 내전을 예견한 성명서를 보고 화들짝 두려워했음” (He (Thomas Bach) was stunned by the dissolution and then frightened by Emmanuel Macron's statements, which predicted a civil war if his opponents won.) “그는 부수적으로 2차적인 피해가 될 2030년 French Alps의 동계올림픽개최지 유치결정여부와 함께 Paris2024올림픽을 취소하든지 연기하든지 여부는 7월중순까지 기다리자는 심산으로 보임” (He has given himself until mid-July to confirm, cancel or postpone the Paris Games, with the collateral damage of jeopardising the French Alps' bid for the 2030 Winter Games)이라고 언급했다고 합니다.
IOC는 이러한 소문들에 대하여 재빨리 부인하면서(quick to deny the rumours) “이것은 올림픽대회뿐만 아니라 프랑스와 IOC 그리고 IOC위원장에 반하는 현재 유포되고 있는 허위 정보의 일환이 분명함”(This is obviously part of the ongoing disinformation campaign against France, the IOC and its President, as well as the Olympic Games) “이라고 IOC 미디어 X에 글을 올렸다고 합니다.
이와 더불어 X에는 “사실상 이것을 근거 없는 정보임. IOC위원장과 전체 올림픽운동계는 오는 7월26일 시작되는 훌륭한 Paris2024올림픽개막을 학수고대하고 있는 중임.”(In fact, this is unfounded. The IOC president and the entire Olympic movement are looking forward to an excellent Paris 2024 Olympic Games, starting with the opening ceremony on 26 July)”이라고 못을 밖아 반박하였다고 합니다.
Amélie Oudé-Castéra 프랑스 체육 및 올림픽 장관(Minister for the Games)은 “우리의 올림픽은 계획된 일정에 따라 Paris에서 개최될 것임”(Our Games will be held in Paris, on the dates planned) “우리는 올림픽을 지금까지 수년간 준비해 왔으며 계획된 일자에 파리에서 개최할 것이고 올림픽은 전세계에 행복을 선사할 것이며 우리나라에 자긍심을 가져다 줄 것임”("We have been preparing for them for years and we will bring them to Paris on the dates planned.
