전 세계 스포츠외교무대인 ANOC총회(11월28일~29일)회의에 앞서 11월27일에는 ANOC집행이사회가 Tokyo시내 Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa에서 열렸습니다.

2. 쿠웨이트 올림픽위원회 자격정지 3년 만에 잠정 해제 경위와 향후 로드맵
주지하다시피 쿠웨이트올림픽위원회(KOC)는 지난 2015년 10월이래 주장된 바 쿠웨이트정부의 간섭의 결과로 IOC가 내린 자격정지처분대상(has been subject of an IOC suspension since October 2015 as a result of alleged Government interference)이 되어 오다가 3년 후인 2018년 8월 자격정지조치가 잠정 해제된9 provisionally lifted by the IOC in August) 상태이기도 합니다.
자격정지조치 해제결정은IOC집행위원회와 쿠웨이트 정부간의 긍정적인 논의 끝에(following positive discussions between the IOC Executive Board and the Government of Kuwait) “쿠웨이트 선수들의 권익과 진척이 이루어진 것을 인식하는 과정에서 선의의 제스처”(in "the interest of Kuwaiti athletes and as a gesture of goodwill to recognise the progress accomplished")로 취해진 조치로 주장된 바 있습니다.
