[Ferriani GAISF회장 변화되는 세계에서 GAISF해체(Dissolution)는 “가장 적절한 옵션”(Most Appropriate Option)이라고 언급하다]
11월13일 한 외신 보도 내용입니다.
글로벌 국제경기연맹총연합회(GASIF: Global Association of International Sports Federations) Ivo Ferriani회장은 GAISF조직해체(dissolution of the organization)가 변화하는 세상에서 “가장 적절한 옵션”(the most appropriate option in a changing world)이라고 믿고 있다고 언급하고 있다고 합니다.
지난 10월 Ferriani GAISF회장은 11월 하순에 두 번의 회의를 소집하였는데 첫 번째 회의는 GAISF조직 철폐를 위한 것이며 두 번째 회의는 GIASF자산 재 배분을 위한 것(calling two meetings later this month - one to abolish GAISF, and a second to redistribute its assets )이라는 내용을 서한을 발송한 바 있다고 알려진 바 있습니다.
두 가지 회의는 모두 11월29일 Lausanne소재 SwissTech 컨벤션 센터에서 열릴 예정이라고 합니다.
1967년에 창설된 GAISF는 95개 정회원경기단체(full members)와 20개 준회원경기단체(associate member organizations)로 구성되어 있는데 국제연맹들과 밀접하게 연관된 활동을 하여(conduct activities closely related to International Federations) 왔습니다
Ferriani GAISF회장은 “내 전임 회장이 GAISF조직을 해산시키기 위해 설치한 T/F팀이 제시한 만장일치의 권고 내용과 내 자신이 관찰한 바에 따른 생각을 종합한 후, 본인은 GAISF는 이제 독자적 조직으로서 생존 가능성이 소멸되었다는 결론에 도달하였음”(Following the unanimous recommendations of a task force established by my predecessor to disband GAISF and my own observations, I came to the conclusion that GAISF has indeed ceased to be viable as a stand-alone organization) “GAISF가 처리해야 할 몇 가지 활동 내용은 구조 조정된 SportAccord에 이관하고 조직해체수순에 들어가는 것이 가장 적절한 옵션 임”(Dissolution is the most appropriate option, with the few remaining activities of GAISF being transferred to a restructured SportAccord) “이것이 더 강력하고 더 민첩하고 비즈니스를 염두에 둔 미래지향적 접근 방식임”(This is the way to deliver a stronger, more agile and business-orientated approach for the future)이라고 설명하였습니다.

GAISF조직 해체에 따른 국제스포츠 계 지형이 어떻게 변모할(sporting landscape) 것인지 11월29일 실시될 투표를 앞두고 Ferriani GAISF회장은 “SportAccord가 GAISF의 역할을 넘겨 받는 도입 점으로 국제연맹들의 인준을 득할 것임”(SportAccord will also take over GAISF’s role as the entry point for the recognition of International Federations) “관련 당사자 모두에게 공정함을 보장해 주기 위하여 ASOIF AIOWF, ARISF, AIMS 및 IOC로부터 각각의 대표 1인 씩으로 구성되는 회원자격검증위원회가 만들어 질 것임”(A Membership Commission will be created consisting of a representative from each of ASOIF AIOWF, ARISF, AIMS and the IOC in order that all parties can be assured of fairness) “스포츠가 전세계에 걸쳐 계속 발전해 나아가고 있는 시점에서 새로운 활동이 증대되고 있으며 적용 방식에 대한 강력한 파이프라인이 형성되어 있는 상태임”(As sport continues to develop around the world, new activities are growing and there is a strong pipeline of applications) “이벤트조직능력을 검증 받은 바 있는 SportAccord가 종합스포츠제전을 다루는데 더 나은 기반이 될 것”"(SportAccord, with its proven ability to organise events, will also be a better home for multisport games)
