세계도핑방지기구(WADA)가 최근 2021년 23명의 중국수영선수들의 오염 관련 케이스에 대하여 조사한 바 있는 세계수영연맹(World Aquatics)도핑방지감사 평가위원회(World Aquatics Anti-Doping Audit Review Committee, which investigated the contamination cases of 23 Chinese swimmers in 2021)가 발행한 보고서에 대하여 반색하였다(welcomed the report published)고 합니다.
세계수영연맹(World Aquatics)도핑방지감사 평가위원회는 “변칙이나 그릇된 처리나 은폐 행위”(irregularity, mismanagement or cover‐up)에 대한 증거를 찾지 못했지만(found no evidence) 진행된 과정과 세계수영연맹(World Aquatics/이전 명칭은 FINA)이 내린 결정 내용이 WADA의 조사결과와 동일한 바(identical to those made by WADA)이는 규칙에 따라 행해진 것(in accordance with the rules)이라고 합니다.
WADA는 스포츠중재재판소의 저명한 중재조정자가 포함된 동 위원회의 권고사항(the recommendations made by the committee, which includes a prominent arbitrator from the Court of Arbitration for Sport /CAS)에 대하여 주목하고 있는바, WADA 도핑 코드와 국제표준을 되풀이 하는 WADA의 현재 진행 중인 최신화 적업 과정의 일환으로 그들을 평가하게 되기를 학수고대 하고(looks forward to evaluating them as part of the Agency's ongoing update process for the next iteration of the World Anti-Doping Code and International Standards) 있다고 합니다.
WADA대변인은 “이러한 사건들에 대하여 WADA가 다루는 것들을 검토하고 있는 독자적인 검사 Eric Cottier의 긍정적인 진상조사 후, 이것은 WADA의 조건 하에서 뒤따라 오는 정확한 절차에 대하여 다른 방식을 세분화한 진전된 보고서”(Following the positive findings of an independent prosecutor's (Eric Cottier) review of WADA's handling of these cases, this is a further report detailing how the correct procedures were followed under the terms of the World Anti-Doping Code.)라고 밝혔다고 합니다.
WADA는 또 하나의 검토결과, 국제도핑방지 당국이 저지른 잘못에 대한 증거를 아직 발견하지 못한 것에 대하여 만족하고 있는 것(pleased that yet another review has found no evidence of wrongdoing by the International Anti-Doping authorities in these cases)으로 알려지고 있습니다.
WADA는 적용 가능한 규칙을 더 한층 강화시키는 방법에 대한 동 위원회의 권고사항을 주의 깊게 고려할 것이며(carefully consider the Committee's recommendations on how to further strengthen the applicable rules) 이러한 것들을 법령 최신화작업의 일환으로 고려할 (consider them as part of the ongoing update of the Code and International Standards)것이라고 합니다.

WADA가 23명의 중국수영선수들이 Shijiazhuang City 에서 지난 2020년 21월31일~2021년 1월3일까지 개최된 장거리 수영초청대회(Long Course Invitational )에서 경기력향상용 약물인 trimetazine에 양성반응검사결과가 나왔다는 것이 WADA에 의해 확인 된 4월 중순(mid-April when the WADA confirmed in a statement that 23 Chinese swimmers had tested positive for the performance-enhancing drug trimetazidine /TMZ) 이 사건은 백일하에 드러났다고 합니다.
WADA는 중국도핑방지위원회(CHINADA: China Anti-Doping Agency)가 “본의 아니게 오염을 통해 약물에 노출된 후”(after being inadvertently exposed to the substance through contamination) 중국수영선수들의 검사결과가 양성 임을 받아 들이기로 한 결정(its decision to accept that the swimmers had tested positive)을 2021년 6월에 그 사실을 WADA에 알려왔다고 설명하였다고 합니다.
WADA의 경우 CHINADA의 결정과 오염 론을 검토하느라 여러 주가 걸렸다(spent weeks reviewing CHINADA's decision and the contamination theory)고 언급하였다고 합니다.
1999년 설립된 WADA는 국제적이고 독립된 기구이며 전세계스포츠단체와 세계각국 정부들에 의해 조직되고 그 기금으로 운영되고(an international, independent agency, made-up and funded by the sports movement and the world's governments) 있습니다.
