17일간의 올림픽대회의 경기와 축하행사들이 끝나게 되면 그 마지막 단계로 폐회식(8월11일)이 거행되는데 Tomas Jolly는 예술감독으로 Stade de France에서 2,800 m²규모의 무대에서 파리 올림픽의 화룡점정의 순간들을 갈무리하게 될 “기록들”(Records)라는 주제로 특별한 쇼를 디자인하고 총괄 감독해 왔다(designed and directed “Records,” an exceptional show on a 2,800 m² stage at the Stade de France to mark these final moments of the Games)고 합니다.

Stade de France는 8월11일 거행되는 폐회식의 웅장하고 거대한 콘서트 장이 될 것인바, Thomas Jolly 예술감독은 곡예사와 댄서 및 서커스 아티스트를 포함하여100명이 넘는 공연자들과 호흡을 같이 하면서 숨막히는 쇼를 연출하고 감독하게(oversee a breathtaking show featuring over a hundred performers, including acrobats, dancers, and circus artists) 될 것이라고 합니다.
그러한 공연을 통하여 OST(original sound track), 새로운 뮤직 작품들과 유명 글로벌 아티스트들을 총망라하게(feature an original soundtrack, new musical pieces, and appearances by renowned global artists) 될 것인데 관중들은 역사와 미래 양쪽을 모두 아우르는 여행 속으로 몰입하도록 하기 위해 공중 공연, 대규모 세트, 정교한 의상과 인상적인 효과를 통한 환상적인 쇼를 관람하게 될 것(Audiences will be treated to aerial acts, massive sets, elaborate costumes, and impressive lighting effects, taking them on a journey through both history and the future)이라고 합니다.
폐회식에서는 올림픽의 전통적 요소들 역시 조명할 것인바 모든 이에게 강렬한 추억을 심어주기 위해 각국 국기, 선수단 행진과 파리2024올림픽대회기를 LA2028대회 조직위원회에 인수 인계 식(the display of national flags, the athletes' parade, and the handover of the Olympic flag to the Los Angeles 2028 Organising Committee, ensuring memorable moments for all) 등도 포함되어 있다고 합니다.

Jolly감독의 폐회식에서의 목표는 주요한 메시지 전달과 시간을 초월한 연결의 순간과 함께 라면 차별화할 수 있는 아이디어 등을 축하하면서 올림픽의 기원과 미래를 반영해 주는 몰입, 집단적 경험의 무대로 초대하는 것(to deliver a significant message and provide an immersive, collective experience that reflects on the origins and future of the Games, celebrating a moment of timeless connection and the idea that together we can make a difference)이라고 합니다.
