[평창2018 수혜대상 18개 NOCs 및 선수들 출전경기복 유니폼지원프로그램 IOC및 WFSGI후원협업 이야기]

 

 

1)   2017년 10월13일 자 IOC홈페이지에 소개된 뉴스제목은 “18개 NOCs평창2018 OC유이폼 지원프로그램의 수혜자 되다”(Eighteen National Olympic Committees to benefit from the NOC Uniform Support Programme at PyeongChang 2018)였습니다

 

2)   지난 Rio2016올림픽을 위한 첫 번 째 NOCs유니폼 지원프로그램의 성공을 발판으로(Building on the success of the first ever National Olympic Committees (NOCs) Uniform Support Programme for the Olympic Games Rio 2016) IOC는 세계스포츠용품산업연맹(WFSGI: World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry)의 협찬으로 동 지원 프로그램을 다가오는 평창2018대회로 연장하고 있는 것으로 알려졌습니다

 

3)   IOC 및 WFSGI지원에 힘 입어 4개 대륙의 18개 NOCs에게 평창2018 참가에 따른 무료경기복(free competition clothing)이 제공될 것이라고 합니다

 

4)   참가국 NOCs들과 동 프로그램에 관여하고 있는 6대 세계 스포츠용품 선두주자 브랜드업체들(six of the world’s leading brands)의 협업(combined work)을 통하여, 그들은 평창2018동계올림픽기간 동안 53명의 선수들이 착용할 유니폼을 디자인하고 개발하여 왔다고 합니다.

 

5)   동 프로그램에 참여하고 있는 브랜드 업체는 다음과 같습니다

 

(1)  adidas

(2)  Descente

(3)  Marker Voelkl Dalbello

(4)  Mizuno

(5)  Odlo

(6)  Under Armour

 

6)   NOC유니폼지원프로그램 착수 취지는 대회 출전 경기복으로 유연하게 제작된 유니폼 조달이 불가한 NOCs와 선수들의 필요를 충족시켜주기 위한 것(to assist NOCs and athletes that are unable to procure compliant competition uniforms)인데, 제공되는 유니폼은 해당국제연맹이 적시한 기술적 요구사항(technical requirements) 뿐만 아니라 올림픽헌장 제50조 규정요건도 충족시키도록 하는 복장(outfits)이라고 합니다

7)   IOC와 WFSGI가 이러한 유니폼을 절실하게 필요로 하는 선수들과 NOCs 들을 지원하는 가운데 이것이야말로 진정한 의미를 내포한 연대 결속(solidarity)이란 단어와 부합하는 것(This is solidarity in the true sense of the word)이라고 합니다

 

 

8)   IOC와 WFSGI가 이러한 유니폼을 절실하게 필요로 하는 선수들과 NOCs 들을 지원하는 가운데 이것이야말로 진정한 의미를 내포한 연대 결속(solidarity)이란 단어와 부합하는 것(This is solidarity in the true sense of the word)이라고 합니다

 

 

9)   다음은 Thomas Bach IOC위원장의 취지설명 발언 내용입니다:

 

A.  “This is solidarity in the true sense of the word, as the IOC and the World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry are supporting those athletes and NOCs that need it most. (IOC와 WFSGI가 이러한 유니폼을 절실하게 필요로 하는 선수들과 NOCs 들을 지원하는 가운데 이것이야말로 진정한 의미를 내포한 연대 결속이란 단어와 부합하는 것임)

 

B.  This programme is running for the second time in a row now at the Olympic Games. (동 프로그램은 올림픽대회 현장에서 두 번째로 연속 실시되고 있음)

 

C.  We are thankful to have partners like the WFSGI on our side who help us to promote the development of sport and the welfare of athletes across the globe.” (우리는WFSGI와 같은 파트너들이 우리와 같은 편에 서서 그 뜻을 함께하여 스포츠발전을 도모하며 전 세계 선수들의 복지증진을 위해 도움을 주고 있는 것에 대해 감사함)

 

10) 동 프로그램은 유니폼조달에 어려움을(difficulties in the procurement of uniforms)겪고 있는 선수들과 NOCs들을 대상으로 연결되어 있으며 Rio2016당시 처음 시도되어 큰 성과를 거양한(a huge success) 바 있다고 합니다

11) 동 프로그램의 성공은 NOCs들뿐만 아니라 스포츠용품 브랜드에게도 마찬가지 인바 Adidas, Under Armour 및 Mizuno브랜드는 이미 파일롯 프로그램의 일원이며 동계올림픽대회를 위하여 재 합류(re-joined for the winter edition of the Olympic Games)하고 있다고 합니다.

 

 

 

12)  다음은 Robbert de Kock WFSGI회장 겸 대표이사(President & CEO)의 소감발언 내용입니다:

 

 

 

 

A.  “We believe in sport as a powerful tool for sustainable development and it has been a wonderful joint effort between the IOC and WFSGI to assist a certain number of athletes and NOCs with uniforms that meet all technical requirements needed to perform at their best.” (우리는 지속 가능발전을 위한 강력한 도구인 스포츠를 신봉하고 있으며 IOC와 WFSGI의 훌륭한 공동협력을 통하여 해당선수들과 NOCs들에게 대회 출전경기에서 최고의 경기력을 발휘하기 위해 필요한 모든 기술적 요건들을 충족시켜주는 유니폼 제공을 통한 지원하게 되었음)

 

B.  “Building on the Rio 2016 experience, we are pleased to continue to support the athletes who are part of the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 Uniform Support Programme and to equip them with the latest state-of-the-art competition apparel.” (Rio2016대회경험을 바탕으로, 우리가 평창2018동계올림픽 유니폼지원프로그램에 합류하게 되는 선수들에게 최첨단 경기복을 착용하도록 지원사업을 지속적으로 할 수 있게 되어 기쁜 마음임)

 

C.  “This project is a great example of cooperation, as it could not have happened without the efforts of all the stakeholders involved, to whom I am thankful.” (동 프로젝트는 모든 이해당사자들이 일심동체의 노력 없이는 성사도리 수 없을지도 모른다는 점에서 그들 모두에게 감사함을 표하며 이는 협력사업의 위대한 사례라고 할 수 있겠음)

 

13) 유니폼지원프로그램 수혜자는 Rio2016올림픽에서 69개 NOCs 350명 선수들이었으며 ‘Peace and Sport Awards’ 시상식에서 “2016년도 기업사회책임주도사례”(Corporate Social responsibility Initiative of the Year)로 최종선발후보자 명단에 등재된(shortlisted) 바 있습니다

 

14) ‘Peace and Sport Awards’는 2008년 창설되어 매년 스포츠를 통한 세계평화와 대화와 사회적 안정에 현저한 기여를 한(an outstanding contribution to peace, dialogue and social stability in the world through sport) 기관과 개인들에게 시상하고 있습니다

 

15) 평창2018동계올림픽은 2018년 2월9일~25일(17일 간) 대한민국 강원도 평창, 강릉 및 정선 에서 열리며 95개국 6,500명 의 선수와 임원이 참가할 것으로 전망되고 있습니다.
